I started this painting at the beginning of the COVID lockdown, and it became a meditation on communication; how important it is, what happens when it falls through, and how we respond to it. As the year has progressed, the ability to communicate, the unpredictable, and the overwhelming anxiety of waiting for the worst to materialize have remained at the forefront of our shared experience. Because of this, "Les Lettres - I" is just the first in a body of work, all featuring readers, that I will continue to share as we emerge into our new reality.
